Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP) is again turning the spotlight on culture and community with the 61st annual Fiesta Celebration, taking place July 16–20 throughout Holland.
Now in its sixth decade, the Fiesta continues to evolve while honoring its roots—celebrating Latino heritage with a five-day lineup of family-friendly fun, live music, food, and cultural pride. Organizers see the event not just as a festival, but as a solution-driven celebration that fosters community connection, economic opportunity for Latino vendors and artists, and inclusive storytelling.
“This celebration is a beautiful reflection of our community’s diversity and unity,” says LAUP Board President Abraham Roa. “It’s an honor to celebrate 61 years of tradition, culture, and progress in Holland.”
Five days of festivities
The Fiesta kicks off Wednesday at the Holland Farmers Market with children’s activities from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., helping engage the next generation in cultural traditions.
Thursday brings live street performers to downtown from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., energizing the community with free entertainment while boosting foot traffic for businesses.
On Friday, Concert in the Park features Ballet Folklórico Sol Azteca and Mariachi Universal de Chicago from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by a performance by Mariachi Universal at El Rancho on Riley Street from 9 to 11 p.m. Ten percent of proceeds will benefit LAUP’s educational and leadership programs.
The main event is Saturday, with a daylong celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. showcasing Latino-owned food and artisan vendors, live performances, and hands-on activities. The excitement continues at the Fiesta Baile from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., headlined by Grammy-nominated Banda Maguey and Grupo Secretto, along with DJ Kuba and DJ TWO 3.
The celebration wraps up Sunday with the Fiesta Car Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
