Latino Leader of the Year: Xavier Cotto, TVA
La Paz Chattanooga hosted the 2025 Latino Leadership Awards last Friday at The Westin Chattanooga. The evening brought together hundreds of community members, leaders and supporters to celebrate Latino achievement, culture and collective impact.
Officials said, “What began in 2012 as a professional luncheon has grown into a gala showcasing the vibrancy and diversity of Chattanooga’s Latino community. Since its 2023 reimagining as an evening event, the LLAs have become a cultural celebration, combining recognition, storytelling and music with dinner and dancing.”
“The Latino Leadership Awards aren’t just about recognition.
They’re a reflection of a thriving and dynamic community,” said Stacy Johnson, CEO of La Paz Chattanooga. “Each year we see proof that Latino leaders are helping to shape Chattanooga’s growth and ensuring our city’s future is brighter and more inclusive.”
The 2025 program recognized honorees in eight award categories, spotlighting individuals and organizations driving progress across business, education, advocacy and the arts.
This year’s winners included:

“When we highlight Latino leaders, we’re highlighting the same qualities that strengthen Chattanooga: resilience, vision, and a spirit of community,” said Vivian Lozano, COO of La Paz Chattanooga. “The 2025 finalists and winners show us what’s possible when diverse voices and talents come together to build a brighter future.”
Officials said, “Past LLA honorees have gone on to expand businesses, launch new organizations and mentor the next generation of leaders. The LLAs highlight these stories as part of the organization’s broader mission: building an inclusive Chattanooga where Latino voices are heard and celebrated year-round.”
