House Speaker Mike Johnson stated that he supports the release of all files pertaining to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, advocating for transparency between the government and the American people.
Johnson appeared on online series The Benny Show on Tuesday, where he talked about the Trump administration’s handling of the Epstein files with host and conservative podcaster Benny Johnson.
BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Speaker Mike Johnson says he supports Ghislaine Maxwell testifying to Congress and demands the DOJ release everything they have on Epstein:

“Speaker Johnson, this is sort of on the heels of something else that a lot of people are asking questions about, and because we’ve been lied to by our federal government for so long, I feel like there’s a pain point, a pressure cooker that gets heated up on issues like the Epstein issue,” Johnson began.
“Obviously that’s something that has taken over a lot of the online dialogue. There’s questions here that concern testimony from Ghislaine Maxwell, potentially before Congress, or, if you would support members like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Anna Paulina Luna on a subpoena for the Epstein documents from the Department of Justice,” Johnson added.
“I haven’t talked to Marjorie or Anna about this specific subject but I’m for transparency,” Speaker Johnson began.
“Reagan used to tell us, ‘We should trust the American people.’ I believe in that principle. I know President Trump does as well and I trust him. I mean, he put together a team of his choosing and they’re doing a great job. It’s a very delicate subject, but we should put everything out there and let the people decide,” he continued.
“The White House and the White House team are privy to facts I don’t know, this isn’t my lane and I haven’t been involved in that. I agree with the sentiment that we need to put it out there. Pam Bondi, I don’t know when she originally made the statement, I think she was talking about documents on her desk, I don’t know that she was specific about a list or whatever. She needs to come forward and explain that to everybody. I like Pam, I think she’s done a good job,” he added.
The Speaker went on to say that his hope is for the Department of Justice to put the Epstein drama behind them and move on to seemingly more important issues.
“We need the Department of Justice focusing on the major priorities, so let’s get this thing resolved so they can deal with violent crime, public safety, election integrity and going after Act Blue and things the President is most concerned about. I’m anxious to get this thing behind us,” Johnson concluded.
Earlier this year, Bondi appeared on Fox News in conversation with host John Roberts, where she was explicitly asked if the Trump administration’s Department of Justice would reveal a “list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients.”
“Will that really happen?” Roberts asked.
“It’s sitting on my desk right now to review. That’s been a directive by President Trump. I’m reviewing that,” Bondi answered.
After months of campaigning for re-election on the promise of releasing the coveted Epstein files, President Donald Trump has quickly changed his tune since the DOJ’s leaked memo earlier this month. Trump took to Truth Social to encourage supporters not to “waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
However, Republican legislators are increasingly breaking with him and encouraging the DoJ to release the full list, with Johnson being the latest to the trend. Other such legislators include Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, Tennessee Rep. Scott DesJarlais and Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy.
