Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to celebrate art, music ,food, and traditions that have shaped American culture. Schools, businesses, and communities host events to promote awareness and appreciation.

Hispanic Heritage Month events in Palm Beach County
16th annual Hispanic Heritage Festival
When: Sept. 27-28, from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Vera Lea Rinker Hall, Palm Beach Atlantic University
What: The Festival celebrates the panoply of Hispanic artistic culture with music concerts, presentations of visual art, film, and the theater arts. An important part of the festival is the academic conference that includes papers, lecture-recitals, and performances, all relating to the subject of music in the Hispanic world.

Suénalo
When: Sept. 27, from 8 to 10 p.m.
Where: Arts Garage, 94 NE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach
What: Experience the electrifying sounds of Suénalo at Arts Garage in Delray Beach. This 8-piece Afro-Latin electro-funk band from Miami is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a high-energy performance that blends Afro-Latin rhythms with electronic beats, salsa, hip-hop, samba, funk, and the unmistakable spirit of Miami. Named by the Miami New Times as one of the “Best Latin Rock Bands of All Time,” Suénalo is known for getting audiences dancing, twisting, and shouting to their infectious grooves.

A taste of Hispanic Heritage in Greenacres
When: Sept. 28, from 2 to 8 p.m.
Where: Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park, 2905 Jog Rd., Greenacres
What: Enjoy live Latin music, dance, and entertainment, along with a keynote speaker to inspire and motivate business owners, a curated vendor market featuring local artisans and retailers. There will be family activities, games, contests, and prizes.

Nuestra Cultura Community Day
When: Oct. 4, from 11 a.m- 4pm
Where: Norton Museum of Art, 1450 S Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach
What: Celebrate the rich, diverse cultures and traditions across South America, Central America, Mexico, and the Caribbean during this community day at the Norton Museum of Art. Enjoy art workshops, music, dance, and Spanish-language tours, and connect with local organizations and food in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

First Friday @ 5: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage
When: Oct. 4, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Where: Centennial Park & Amphitheater, 120 E. Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach
What: The city of Boynton Beach will host a special edition First Friday @ 5 Concert. Centennial Park & Amphitheater. This free, family-friendly event will showcase the rich Hispanic culture with music, food, and an artisan market.

Where: West Palm Beach City Hall Courtyard, 401 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach

Hispanic Heritage Community Celebration
When: Oct. 10, from 7 to10 p.m.
Where: City Hall Courtyard, 401 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach
What: Mark your calendars for an evening filled with the sights, sounds, and flavors of Hispanic culture! Join us in the heart of the City Hall Courtyard for a lively community celebration featuring live bands playing festive music all evening, plenty of room to dance and celebrate with friends and neighbors, and delicious, authentic food.

Gafieira Rio Miami: Brazilian Big Band
When: Oct. 12, from 8 to 10 p.m.
Where: Arts Garage, 94 NE 2nd Ave, Delray Beach
What: Enjoy a night of vibrant Brazilian rhythms with Gafieira Rio Miami. Founded and led by Latin Gramming-winning bassist Diogo Brown, this 11-piece band brings together lively samba percussion, a swinging horn section, and the captivating voice of Isa Duarte.

The Family Festival presented by Hispanics Unidos
When: Oct. 19, from 2 to 7 p.m.

What: Join the third annual Family Festival, presented by Hispanos Unidos and sponsored by LaBovick Law. This free event is a celebration of Hispanic families, offering a day full of delicious Latin food, live entertainment, and educational resources.
