NEW ROCHELLE, New York (WABC) — Tuesday was a special night honoring people making a difference in the Latino community, including Eyewitness News anchor Joe Torres.
He was presented with an award at the 100 Hispanic Women 28th Annual Awards Gala, which is celebrating 30 years of empowering Latinas.
It took place at Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle.
The event honors outstanding Hispanic women who have made lasting contributions to their communities and beyond.
There were powerful stories shared, connecting with leaders and changemakers, and celebrating the collective impact over the past three decades.
Eyewitness New anchor Tanya Rivero presented the award to Joe Torres, who was honored for his work with the Hispanic community, specifically his work on hosting “Tiempo” each Sunday on ABC 7.
